Here you can ask questions about various issues, guarantees, quality, deadlines and more.

As a rule, payments are made in cash, via pix, boleto, bank transfer or some kind of pre-approved financing.

Yes, only for partners. But it's worth noting that BYD only accepts this type of operation, it's not something we offer. This option must be negotiated between the customer and the bank and dealt with on a case-by-case basis with us.

BYD works with two types of freight, CIF and FOB, which can be CIF to the partner company's warehouse or directly to the installation site.
What are the freight costs?
Products are generally made up with freight included in the CIF mode. If the partner opts for FOB, there is a percentage difference in the negotiation.
The modules have a 25 or 30-year performance guarantee, depending on the model, and a 12-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. BYD inverters come with a 10-year warranty.
Yes, for all the items that make up the generator set, the warranty is always handled directly with us. Our customers don't need to look for other manufacturers after some time has passed since their purchase, i.e. it's just a single channel of communication.
BYD accepts the financing offered on the market if the customer has the billing authorization. Within the platform, BYD offers some simulations from partner banks.
Yes, all kits with national modules have the Finame code and can be financed through the credit lines offered by the BNDES.
Yes, BYD has a specialized team that offers full support to partner customers who want to start working with Finame lines.
No. You must not step on the modules, either during installation or cleaning, as this causes micro-cracks in the cells that are not visible to the naked eye, but are detrimental to the integrity of the modules, affecting their efficiency and potentially causing greater damage to the product.
Just clean with a non-abrasive sponge and neutral soap to remove impurities from the surface of the modules. The time between cleaning depends a lot on the installation site; where it gets dirtier, it should be done more often. But in general, it is advisable to clean every 6 months. Failure to clean the modules not only damages the product, but can also result in a loss of warranty.
Visual inspections of the inverter should be carried out whenever possible, such as: analyzing the accumulation of dirt, observing abnormal noises in the product, checking for access to moisture or direct contact with the weather. Always check the equipment's working temperature. Analyze the alarms and check that it is in operating status. For preventive maintenance, contact qualified and authorized personnel.
Oversizing or Overload is the term we use when the modules are oversized in relation to the power of the inverter, i.e. the total power of the modules (kWp) exceeds the rated power of the inverter. In short, overloading is the percentage of input power allowed by the manufacturer to maximize generation gains in the system.
It is necessary to check the inverter's technical information so as never to size the system for values above those permitted by the manufacturer. Overload values above those permitted may result in the warranty not being taken into account, as well as damaging the product.
Overloading can bring a performance gain to the system, but there comes a certain point where this gain becomes financially unviable. Each case must be analyzed by the engineer responsible for installing the system.
To monitor the system, the site must have access to a Wi-Fi network, have a master account on our monitoring platform, create the plant and configure the datalogger. For more information, contact After Sales and we will help you with all the processes.
To link the datalogger to WI-FI, you need to check that the local router is compatible with the datalogger, access the application for the inverter line (Pro or Max Line) and follow the step-by-step manuals provided by the after-sales service on the SAC platform. If you have any questions, please contact After Sales.
On the inverter screen, go to:
Advanced settings
Password 0010
Standard
Search for USER DEF
and change the parameters according to the table below:
After making the change, press "ESC > save and send" and confirm.
Change these 4 parameters as follows:
VH recovery: 271
VL recovery: 175
FH recovery: 62
FL recovery: 57.5
Go back and save until the message COMPLETED appears!

Otherwise, if the inverter is from the MAX line, contact our After Sales team to carry out the parameterization remotely or, if this is not possible, accompany the technician on site to do it.

The release of the datalogger for the Agent account is only for the MAX line and in order to do this it is necessary to contact after-sales to request the release. In both cases, the first time you register, you must contact After Sales to register a MASTER account and explain how monitoring works.

To find out how many modules the inverter can support, you need to size the system using the Voc of the modules and the value of the maximum input voltage of the inverters' MPPTs. Remember that the temperature and radiation of each region must be taken into account. For better sizing, it is important to use simulation software. You can consult a sizing recommendation table drawn up by After Sales, remembering only that this table is a guideline table.

Yes, it is normal for inverters to make noises. These noises are due to electromagnetism, but they should not be discrepant. If you have any concerns or noise abnormalities, you should contact After Sales.

To change a customer's review, simply go to their master account, search for the account owner and change the password. For more information, contact After Sales.

For single-phase BYD inverters up to 10kW, the certificate can be obtained from the Inmetro website. If you can't find it, just ask the After Sales team for the inverter's registration number. For three-phase inverters (power greater than 10kW) we have the certificates for all inverters in this category on our platform.

No, for expansion it is necessary to use modules with the same power and technical characteristics.

To change the time, you can change the plant's time zone via the monitoring application (there is no need to change these parameters on the inverter, if done on the platform), for more information contact After Sales.

Each kit has its own configuration, depending on the type of structure, type of roof and number of modules, the composition of the items may vary. Consult our sales team to find the best structural option for your solar kit.

No. Although our inverters have an IP66 protection rating (resistant to dust and powerful jets of water), for greater durability and better product operation it is not ideal.

Yes. The dependence on the use of the string box varies from model to model, but we recommend the use of the String Box in all our inverters for additional safety reasons and to facilitate maintenance of the inverter's protection devices. It provides double protection for the equipment.
