The only company in the country to reach this milestone celebrates at Intersolar South America 2023 and receives an award as a pioneer in the Brazilian solar market
BYD Energy do Brasil, the country's leading producer of photovoltaic modules, is taking part in Intersolar South America 2023, Latin America's largest solar event, from the 29th to the 31st of this month at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. As well as launching the new 555W-575W Harpia N-Type TopCon bifacial double glass module and exhibiting the brand's products, on Tuesday (29) the company celebrated the milestone of 2,300,000 photovoltaic modules produced in the country.
Domestic manufacturing has made the company the only one in Brazil to achieve this figure. On the same evening, the brand also received a tribute and was awarded by the organizers of Intersolar South America 2023 as one of the pioneering companies to invest in the Brazilian solar market.
Designed by the company's Research and Development department in Brazil, in Campinas (SP), BYD's modules guarantee energy efficiency and great savings in investment and maintenance costs.
"Today we celebrate the incredible milestone of 2.3 million photovoltaic modules produced nationally. This achievement represents the mission and expertise at BYD. We are the largest domestic manufacturer and this milestone is a clear sign that we are on the right track towards a more sustainable and efficient future"said Tyler Li, president of BYD Brazil, during the celebration at Intersolar South America 2023.
Visitors to the event can see the brand's photovoltaic modules available on the Brazilian market: MLK 540W, Harpia Single Glass and Harpia Double Glass, as well as the BIPV and APV models. At its stand, the company is also exhibiting its complete range of high-quality and safe inverters, including on and off-grid models, hybrids - single-phase and three-phase - as well as energy storage solutions and the brand's automotive chargers (7.4kW wallbox, fast charger and charging station).

One of the company's main attractions at the event is a surface made up of BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) modules, the brand's solution developed for perfect integration with construction and architectural projects. The BIPV modules can be customized in different colors for a harmonious composition on the façades of houses and buildings.
BYD Energy's stand also includes a solar carport, a roof developed using photovoltaic modules to serve as a roof in parking areas and also generate energy. Housed in this space is the BYD Song Plus DM-i, an intelligent plug-in hybrid SUV model featuring the unprecedented DM-i super hybrid technology. It is one of the brand's best-selling models in the world.
