BYD Energy conducts training on hybrid and off-grid systems

The activity takes place on November 25 and 26 at the Campinas (SP) unit,
and will bring together professionals from partner companies

On November 25 and 26, BYD Energy will hold a comprehensive training course for professionals from partner companies on hybrid and off-grid systems at its Campinas (SP) plant. There will be 16 hours of activities over two days. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to visit the photovoltaic module factory, also located in the city of São Paulo.

The main objective of this type of activity is to qualify professionals for these two types of energy storage solutions. "BYD Energy provides the solutions. But we need our partners to be qualified to serve our customers. And this type of training is essential, especially as it is something new in the Brazilian market," says Marcelo Taborda, Sales Director at BYD Energy do Brasil.

Among the main topics that will be covered during the meeting is the off-grid system, designed for those who are completely off the conventional electricity grid. This application is ideal for isolated places that can't get any energy other than solar.

With an off-grid system, solar energy is captured using photovoltaic modules. It is then transformed into electricity and stored in a powerbank. Another topic that will be covered during the training is the hybrid system. In this case, the site, for example, has both forms of energy. In addition to electricity, solar energy can be captured and stored.

Other important topics, such as B-Box batteries, Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and the Open Box, will receive special attention throughout the activity. "The focus of this training is energy storage in batteries. Other demands will certainly arise, whether on these subjects or others. In view of this, it is likely that new activities will take place in a short space of time," adds the BYD Energy executive.

Clean and renewable energy

BYD storage systems are the most complete and safest solution on the market. The brand offers several models that meet different needs and can be applied in urban and rural areas, industries, commerce in general, homes, condominiums and power plants. To give you an idea, they are low-maintenance and have a long service life. Best of all, they are a clean and renewable 100% energy source.

With its factory in Campinas, BYD Energy has now supplied more than 2 GWp of solar modules, corresponding to almost a third of the national market. In addition, in the second half of this year it reached the expressive mark of two million photovoltaic modules produced in the country. Shortly before that, in April 2022, it inaugurated a new photovoltaic module production line in the country, located in Campinas (SP).

The new facilities received a complete overhaul of their equipment and processes, adopting the latest technology available in Brazil and abroad, such as Multi-busbar, half-cell, 1/3 cut cell, micro-gap and negative-gap. As a result, the company began marketing a complete new line of high-power modules, both mono and bifacial, ranging from 450W to 670W.

Pioneering and solutions in sustainability and clean energy have always been one of BYD's great differentiators in Brazil and in the main markets where the company operates. The most recent example of this commitment is the start of production of a new photovoltaic module for the Brazilian market, starting next year. This is the N Type TOPCON, which has a power of 575W and is highly technological and more advanced than those already sold on the domestic market.
