With the new points installed in the Northeast, South and Central-West regions, the company shows agility in serving customers; centers will be inaugurated in the coming months
In the coming months, BYD Energy will inaugurate three new logistics centers strategically distributed in the main points of the country: Northeast, South and Midwest. This expansion will increase BYD's storage capacity by 50%, from 1GW to 1.5 GW per year.
"The opening of the new DCs in Porto Alegre and Goiás in the first half of the year, and in the Northeast in the second half, shows our capacity to deliver kits in Brazil. We will be able to serve our customers more dynamically and assertively. In some cases, we will be able to deliver within one or two days and we hope to attract new installers with this," explains Marcelo Taborda, BYD Energy's sales director.
The new distribution points created by BYD Energy reinforce the company's strategy, since it arrived in Brazil in 2017, of always being close to its customers. With the innovative logistics system set up, placing an intelligent tripod for storing components, it will be possible to make deliveries ever more quickly. "We know how important time is, especially when it comes to a spare part or even an installation, which involves an investment with an expected return. The market generally takes 30 to 45 days to make a delivery. We cut the logistics time in half without losing quality," explains Marcelo Taborda, BYD Energy's sales director.
He points out that the initiative to launch new distribution centers arose from the need to optimize delivery times and, at the same time, offer an increasingly better after-sales service to consumers. "Talking to our buyers, we were able to identify that delivery time is one of the main factors affecting the customer's experience with the brand. Anyone who buys a product expects it to arrive within the estimated time. Delays result in frustration, dissatisfaction and even disrupt the investment project," he concludes.
According to research by the Energy Research Company (EPE), photovoltaic solar energy will reach 20.4 GW in cumulative installed capacity by 2029. The Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (ABSOLAR) projects 30 GW by 2030. Each BYD Energy DC will have the capacity to store an average of 20 Megawatts in photovoltaic modules. All of them will continue to come out of BYD's factory in Campinas (SP), which has the highest technology available in Brazil and abroad. The complete line includes mono and bifacial products, ranging from 450W to 670W.
BYD is the only company in Brazil to sell the complete kit (solar panel, storage system and inverter). Its photovoltaic modules provide energy independence and great savings, with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. They are easy to install, have a long service life and are low maintenance. As well as being a clean and renewable source of energy, they come with a 10-year product guarantee and a 25-year performance guarantee. They are financed by BNDES and Finame and can be used in urban and rural areas, industries, commerce, homes, condominiums and power stations.
