BYD, the world leader in sales of electrified cars, is once again revolutionizing mobility in Brazil with the creation of the country's first integrated charging network. In partnership with EZVolt and Tupi, the solution, known as interoperability (roaming), will allow drivers to use a wide network of chargers, with location and payment directly on the BYD Recharge platform. From now on, BYD customers can count on more than 450 EZVolt electric stations, a national reference in recharging infrastructure, consolidating BYD's platform as the largest network of chargers available in Brazil.
Also developed in partnership with Tupi Mobilidade, responsible for the technology behind BYD Recharge, the system allows drivers to view the available charging points in real time, choose the best option and make the payment in a single app.
"We want to make recharging electric vehicles simpler and more accessible by significantly expanding the infrastructure in Brazil. With this innovation, drivers will be able to access thousands of electric charging stations via a single app, ensuring greater convenience and efficiency," says Alexandre Baldy, Senior Vice President of BYD Brazil.
Benefits for users and the environment
With the integration of the EZVolt network, BYD drivers can now use an extensive network of charging points without having to switch from one app to another. Simply access BYD Recharge, locate the nearest electric station and start recharging with a few clicks - all in a fast, practical and safe way.
The new system will be available to BYD Recharge users from Monday 19th, consolidating BYD as a pioneer in the Brazilian automotive sector in offering this type of integration.
Strategic partnerships that boost innovation
The system was developed with the technological support of Tupi Mobilidade, which enabled integration with EZVolt's network using OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) technology, guaranteeing total compatibility and scalability.
"It's an honor for EZVolt to join forces with BYD and Tupi on this innovative project. We believe that electric vehicle users should have an increasingly simple recharging experience and there's nothing better than finding all the charging stations in a single app. As BYD is the market leader in electrified vehicles in Brazil, offering our charging stations on BYD Recharge means expanding the number of customers served by EZVolt," says Gustavo Tannure, CEO of EZVolt.
Pedro De Conti, founder and CEO of Tupi, emphasizes that the interoperability brought about by the project is a milestone to be celebrated. "We're talking about uniting networks, facilitating access and putting the driver at the center of the experience. This is exactly Tupi's role: to build, together with our partners, a facilitated recharging experience that enables a more accessible, efficient and scalable electric future for the country," he explains.
